Beauty uses include face or body moisturiser, makeup remover, nourishment for dry hair, frizz or flyaways, and as a shaving cream substitute.
For the family, it can be used to assist with minor cuts and scrapes due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It's also an excellent cure for earache, lice, and nappy rash.
Around the home, uses are endless - Olive Oil can fix squeaky doors, clean greasy hands, remove paint from skin or hair, polish furniture, floors, and shoes, lubricate measuring cups and spoons, free a stuck zip, shine stainless steel and brass, condition leather, and clean garden tools.

Delivery
Stock Take Delivery Cut-Off: Orders placed between 16th May 2024 and 27th May 2024 will be dispatched on 28th May 2024. Please take this into consideration when placing orders during this period, as there may be a delay in the dispatch and delivery of your items.
Delivery Fee: We offer FREE delivery within New Zealand on all orders at $50 NZD and above. For orders under this amount, handling & shipping is just $7.99 for North Island, and $9.99 for South/Outer Island.
Delivery Timeframe: Orders are processed and dispatched twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday), cut-off time is 5pm Monday, 5pm Wednesday.
Please allow couriers 3-5 days for delivery. For rural addresses, please allow for an extra 1-2 days for delivery. Please note that delays in courier times are out of our control. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only. Deliveries take place Monday - Friday.
PO Box Delivery: Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to post office boxes at this time. A signature is required on delivery for all New Zealand orders.
Delivery Acceptance: All orders will be dispatched on a signature-on-delivery courier. All parcels will be delivered to the provided address and will require a signature on receipt. Providing a work address for delivery is recommended if no one is home during business hours. Due to security issues, the parcel cannot be left unattended. Where no one is home to sign for the parcel, a card will be left detailing the nearest pick up point.

Order Tracking & Enquiries: An order confirmation will appear as the final step in your order process. You’ll also receive an email confirmation with an order number and a purchase summary. Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive an additional email confirming the shipment. This email will include tracking information (where applicable).
How to use
Use as required for:
Shaving cream substitute, nail and cuticle care, tame hair frizz and flyaways, soften and moisturise skin, soothe nappy rash, polish shoes, and remove makeup.
Bath Oil
Add a few tbsp to your running bath water.
Hair Conditioner
Gently heat 125 ml Olive Oil and apply liberally to your hair. Cover hair with plastic and then wrap it in a towel. Leave for 45 minutes, then wash as usual.
Night Cream
Gather together 125 ml Olive Oil, 3 drops Lavender Oil, 3 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 tbsp water. Mix the olive oil and cider vinegar. Add water slowly until a smooth white/yellow cream forms. Add the Lavender Oil. Shake well before use every night as the mixture will settle.
Lip Balm
Mix a 1:1 ratio of Olive Oil and melted Beeswax in a 1:1 ratio, with your choice of essential oil for fragrance.
Exfoliator or Remove Grease from Skin
Rub your face or hands with Olive Oil, then scrub with sugar or coarse salt before rinsing off.
Earache
Carefully use a cotton swab to apply Olive Oil to the outside ear cavity to help with earaches and excess wax.
Lice
Apply to hair and leave on for at least 40 minutes. Shampoo twice, and then apply a preventative.
Acne
Make a paste by mixing 3 tbsp Olive Oil with 4 tbsp salt. Use your fingers to gently smooth the paste onto your face. Leave for 1-2 minutes and then rinse off with warm, soapy water. Apply daily for 1 week, then use 2-3 times weekly.
Paint Remover (from skin or hair)
Rub onto skin or hair wherever there is paint, and let soak for 5 minutes before rinsing with soap and water.
Lubricate Measuring Cups and Spoons
Rub or spray onto your measuring tools for easy clean-up of sticky substances like honey, and sugar syrups.
Stuck Zips
Apply to the teeth of the zip using a cotton bud or cloth.
Squeaky Doors
Apply to squeaky hinge using a cloth or cotton swab.
Cat Care
Add a tsp to your cat's food to help prevent hairballs, and help with a shiny coat.
Clean Garden Tools
Spray on tools to cut down on dirt build-up.
Condition Leather
Rub olive oil into worn leather and let sit for 30 minutes, before wiping away excess.
Shine Metals
Rub onto stainless steel and brass using a clean cloth to prevent streaks, corrosion, and tarnish.
Oil Paint Mix
To delay the drying out of your paint palette, make a 50:50 mix of Home Essentials Olive Oil and Safflower Oil. Add a drop to each ‘nut’ of paint on your palette.
Furniture Polish
Combine 2 parts Olive Oil and 1 part Lemon Juice or White Vinegar in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray onto furniture. Leave for 1-2 minutes then wipe off with a clean cloth or paper towel.
Floor Polish
Add 175 ml Olive Oil and 125 ml White Vinegar or Lemon Juice to a bucket of hot water to polish while you mop.
